What is wysssnowsports all about?
We are a team of well experienced snow sports instructors who are from the valley or have lived there for many years already.
Why should i book with wysssnowsports? We love our snow sports instructor jobs, and want to make sure you get the best help available! To make sure of this, we decided to have our own little ski and snowboarding school!
How many instructors do you have and how do i know who is who and who is available? We have about 10 full time instructors and another 10 instructors available for the high season. All instructors have there own personal page on our web page where you can see who speaks what language, teaches what snow sports and if still available.
What snow sports can i learn at wysssnowsports? We specialize in ski-instruction and snowboard instruction and we have instructors who are certified cross-country instructors, telemark instructors, freestyle instructors, snowkiting instructors. we all love ice skating, sledding, snowbiking, etc! etc!
Do i have to request a special kids teacher for my kids? All our instructors are great with kids as well as with adults! we all have expereince in all age groups. make sure though to mention the age and ability of you and or your kids with your booking, to have our instructor prepare him/herself for the snow sports instruction.
What is included in the price of a full day arrangement? If necessary we love to come and pick you up at your hotel, or house in the mornings if within 30km of st.moritz! we teach untill the lifts close and are of your assistance for any other snow sports related business, like getting the right ski's/ snowboard's, boots etc for you or your kids. or going ice skating, sleeing etc! off course we also make sure that you and or your kids have some lunch and rest in between if needed! and we would bring you back home once we're finished!
Can i get teachers/instructors/guides for i hour or 1/2 a day as well? If we have instructors available for shorter arrangements then a full day, sure! definitely in the high season almost all our instructors will be booked full days! and are booked already in advance.
How far in advance should i book an instructor at wyssnowsports? The earlier the better! most of our instructors have families they've been teaching for many years and will be booked a lot of the winter already. we would try to get the best instructor available for your needs! if we don't have any instructors available any more we could set you up with one of our partner snow sports schools and help you find the best available instructor!
Where do you teach? We take you any where you want to go for your snow sports. our main teaching mountains are corviglia, st.Moritz and corvatsch/ furschellas, Silvaplana/sils! we know the whole engadin valley by heart though!
Is there any guiding and off slope skiing/snowboarding possible with wysssnowsports? Almost all of our instructors are fully certified Swiss snow sports instructors which means they can do certain off slope tours given free for us! Off course only if the instructor believes it's totally safe to go!! we can also arrange mountain guides outside of our school, who can take you nearly any where!
How do i go about if i want to book the instructor i was with in the future again? Ether book direct with him or her or send us an email info@wysssnowsports.com directly with the name of the instructor and the dates you would be here!
Till when can i cancel my booking? You can ether call your instructor direct or call the wysssnowsports number at +41(0)764203696 before 17.30 the previous day! make sure you talk life with somebody or get a call back to confirm! In what kinda conditions does my wysssnowsports instructor still teach? We teach in any condition still safe to teach in! if there would be to much wind on top of the mountain, we go further down. make sure that you or your kids are dressed proper for winter sports! better to have to take off a layer cause you have it to warm, then being cold all day! let your instructor advice you!
Is there any price reduction for a long term booking? If you or your family ski with us in one season more then 14 days, looking over the whole winter season, we do give you a good reduction! call the wysssnowsports number for more details. +41(0)764203696.
Can i pay by credit card as well? We accept master, visa and maestro europe. ask your instructor for details! off course we take euro's and dollars as well as Swiss francs!
Why should we go for a snow sports vacation in the Engadin, Switzerland? Engadin has more sunshine then most of the alp resorts. it is also very likely to have great snow since the valley starts at a high of 1800 meters or 6000 feet! it is also the biggest snow sports resort in Switzerland with more then 360km of slopes of which at least 70km are covered with snow from the snow machines. and with all countries around with euro's, the price to stay, ski and eat in st.Moritz doesn't have to be any more expensive as any where else in Europe!
